Congratulations to Rosie - May , Anastasia , Charlotte and Marsha who all participated  in our quiz last week.   The winner will be drawn out of a hat in koinonia.  

Year 5 and 6 by Jim

Class 5 have been learning about different types of writing such as: persuasive letters,  p ersuasive advertisements and free verse poems (which we already know tons about).    Year 6 wrote another news report about, oh I don’t know maybe some imaginary genie who opened a door or something crazy like that. They told me that it was about the beast of the east, I think you spell it like that, those newspapers have mysterious spelling you know!

Year 5 and 6 news by Jim P

Y ear 6 : have been writing newspapers reports about the disappearance of Dr. Bartholomew Cuttle from Beetle Boy. They read the first chapter of Beetle Boy as part of their World Book Day activities. I don’t know who Dr. Cuttle is, I haven’t read Beetle Boy Blog readers but it might mean trouble. Y ear 5 : have been making advertisements about Willy Wonka’s chocolate bars and the golden tickets... buy one get one free. Year 5 have also done some RE about Hope!

Year 4 by Annabelle and Eva

Year 4 went to the Bristol museum. They were looking at all of the ancient artefacts, they were replicas (replicas are exact copies but not the real thing!) After looking at the artefacts, Year 4 did a workshop on the Egyptians.

Class R news by Rahni and Nell

              Class R have been making nest balls for the birds to make their nest out of. The seeds they planted 2 weeks ago have started to grow.

                     Year 1 have been reading the three little pigs. They have made houses: one out of straw, one out of wood and one of brick.

Extras Kianna, Betty and Avril have made a super long maths quiz to test your skills. They made it in Board Games club.

                       Year 2 have been writing funny poems about dragons. In maths   they have started doing division.

Koinonia by Hayden

Koinonia Stories On Tuesday in Koinonia Ms. Sykes told a story which asked the question WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). The story was about a store worker who took a homeless woman through an expensive store even though the worker knew that she wouldn’t buy anything. Another woman asked the worker why she didn’t call security and the worker said WWJD. Squizzles Well done to Daisy in Y6 for winning the Squizzles quiz last time.
