Class 4 news… Class 4 have been starting the Anglo Saxons. More news to follow...

Year Six News Page By Kitty In English we have been writing diaries, imagining that we are Michael (the main character of Kensuke’s Kingdom, the book we have been reading as a class). On Monday we were editing and improving the diaries. In maths we have been measuring and finding missing angles. We have also been learning about different types of triangle and what their properties are. This Wednesday we will be visiting the Life Skills Centre in Bristol which will be exciting and fun!

In Year 2 they made marionette puppets. They wrote riddles about amazing animals and they learned fractions, halves, quarters and thirds. Also they have been reading Meerkat Mail and looking at posters.

                              Class R On Monday Class R did Forest School and looked for minibeasts. They also made charcoal over a fire from wood. They have got some tadpoles in a box of water and they are waiting for them to grow into frogs. Also, they have been designing bugs and will be making them.                                         Class 1 Year 1 have read the Tiger who came to Tea and been learning about animals for their topic. In maths, they have been doing measuring and weight. On Monday Class 1 were making promises about looking after the world for Earth day.

This week year 5 have been reading Almaz, and the Lion. The story is about a young girl called Almaz. Her father has left her while he finds a new wife.   After a couple of days her new mother arrives. Almaz does not like her new mother so she goes to her grandfather’s hut to speak with the wisest elder in her village (who is Almaz’s grandfather) and asks how to win her mother’s love. He replies with these words: I will tell you how to win your mother’s love but first you must fetch me the hair from a Lion's tail. After a few days she returned with the lion's tail hair and asks for the secret then he said... TO BE CONTINUED
