Y4 Forest School In Forest School Y4 have been making the cement like the Anglo Saxons made it. However they used clay rather than mud, cowpats and water like the Anglo- Saxons.

Y5 English. Y5 have been writing an explanation text, this time about the life cycle of an ant. Fruity Friday. Y5 are doing something called Fruity Friday, when people bring in a healthy snack with fruit/veg in it.

In year 1 they have been thinking about what animals are, either herbivores, carnivores or omnivores. They have also been doing sharing in maths.

           Year 2                      Class 2 have been looking at flowers in the playground for example buttercup, daisies, cow slips, dandelions and violets. In maths, they have learnt about time and shapes.

Year R In guided reading year R have been using bug club resources. Year 1 On Tuesday afternoon, year 1 did tennis. They have been writing non-fiction books and publishing them .

                            Year 2                In Class 2 they have been learning about the four            w orld climates: hot, cold, temperate            and tropical.  They also made 3D shapes              out of nets. In science they were looking               at the structure of trees and flowers.

YEAR 4… In their Guided Reading time, Year 4 have been learning about hedgehogs for Hedgehog Awareness week. They have also been to the farm.

YEAR 5… are writing explanation texts (NOT INSTRUCTIONS). They have been looking at explanation texts about insects’ life cycles and how they are different and similar. Also in maths they’ve been doing Co-ordinates.

Year R and Year 1 news by Maisie

Year r  visited the farm and had A GREAT TIME FEEDING ALL THE ANIMALS .THEY ALSO ENJOYED GOING ON THE TRACTOR RIDE. AFTER THE VISIT THEY WROTE ABOUT WHAT THEY DID. YEAR 1 YEAR ONE'S TOPIC IS ANIMALS. THEY HAVE BEEN WRITING NON-FICTION BOOKS ABOUT ANIMALS.IN MATHS THEY HAVE BEEN LEARNING DIVISION AND MULTIPLICATION.

Year 6 Jim P

Yr 6… Last week Year 6 went on a school trip to the  Lifeskills centre in Bristol. They came face to face with disasters and they had to find a way to deal with them.  In maths they played a game called Survivor Maths. They had 5 tribes which competed against each other and tried to stay alive the longest. They also played I want to be a millionaire. And finally they finished reading Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo.
